How does Imarama work?
Four steps: upload your photos, choose a style (transition, mood, pace), watch a complete free preview of the video, then approve and pay only if you like the result. Your video is then published with a permanent link, a downloadable file and a QR code.
How much does a memory video cost?
Three packages based on the number of photos: Essential (up to 20 photos, $49), Tribute (up to 50 photos, $89) and Complete (up to 100 photos, $149), in Canadian dollars, plus tax. It's a one-time payment: no subscription, and hosting of the link is included.
Can I watch the video before I pay?
Yes. The full preview is free and requires no credit card. You can change the style, add or remove photos and regenerate the preview as many times as you like. You only pay once you're satisfied.
How long does it take to get the video?
The preview usually takes just a few minutes to compose. You can watch it while you're still on the site — no appointment, no back-and-forth with an editor.
Can I upload photos directly from my phone?
Yes, right from your phone's browser (Safari, Chrome) at imarama.net. There's no app to install: you pick photos from your gallery like any other file upload.
Which photo formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and HEIC — the default iPhone format. There's nothing to convert.
Can I add music or narration?
Yes. You can add up to 5 music tracks, which play one after another automatically with no silence in between. A separate narration track lets you add a voice telling the story; the music is automatically lowered so the voice stays clear.
Which video styles are available?
Freely combine a transition (fade, slide or mixed), a colour mood (natural, sepia, black and white) and a pace (gentle or fast). You can also enable a subtle zoom, a collage mode (3 photos per frame), an opening title and a closing text — a name and dates, for example.
My old photos look dull. Can they be improved?
An optional automatic enhancement slightly boosts the sharpness and contrast of each photo. The effect is intentionally subtle, to bring old photos back to life without altering them.
Will faces get cropped?
No. Every photo stays whole in the video: Imarama never crops photos in a way that would cut off a face.
What do I get after paying?
Three things: a permanent private link, hosted continuously, to share by text or email; the full video file to download and keep offline; and a printable QR code that opens the video directly — handy on a memorial card, a funeral program or a thank-you card.
Does the video link expire?
No. The link is permanent and the video stays online at all times. That's what sets Imarama apart from simple editing software: hosting is included in the price.
What happens to my photos after the order?
Your original photos are deleted from our servers once the order is finalized. Only the final video stays online, reachable only through its private link.
Is Imarama suitable for a funeral tribute video?
Yes, it's one of the most common uses. See our page on funeral tribute videos for preparation tips.
How can I contact Imarama?
An online assistant answers common questions right on the site. For questions about your order, write to imarama@aide-informatique.com.
